I have the "GIO 500w E-Scooter" made by "Luyuan"

Hi folks

I bought the "GIO 500w E-Scooter" made by "Luyuan" back in may 2009
I've used it all winter

I'm on my 3rd throttle
part of it being a bad design and the other part is the roads
are not take care of very good in my city and I would guess
that the same go's for other city's too

despite accidentally making a mistake of touching the head light wires
together when I was trying to find out how much voltage it used
when the bulb burned out

it has take every weather condition that Exists
in Winnipeg , Manitoba Canada
the coldest I have used it in was -43 Cecilius

I have had to do a weekly check on the amount of air in the tires
but other than that I have not had to do much checking on things

I've been pulled over by one copy who thought it was a motor bike
apparently he can't tell the difference between the two

I am getting the new "LifePo4 battery's"
so with the currently "lead-acid battery's"
I will be able to cover 4 times the distance and
if I play with high and low speed

I can cover even more

if I could ever afford the 50ah battery's up to 600 ah
I could cover even more distance but

I would have to have trailer to carry them as they weigh quite a bit

I've dun my conversion of the head light to it's own battery
I used a led car light , with the battery I have not it
dose not project very good but when I get the 12 volt 20 ah LifePo4 battery
my hope is that it will do the trick

I've got the part that will let me switch to either battery
so not stop and unplug and plug in

the final thing I am doing is a switch that will let me use ether
left or right throttle and a simple version of cruse control

I know it may not be legal to use the my version of the cruse control
but I can show that I know what I am doing in time

I hope to come up with a better version

I've got plans for adding other improvements to the bike

I've tweaked what I can for now and will add the other things
I know there are part that just do not full do what should have dun
so that is anther thing that will come

since I do not have a drivers license this my transportation
and it's much cheaper for parts compared to a car

I hope to get the word out to people to get them to
dump the car for city

I've got the mettle to make a trailer and the angle grinder to cut such

I'm just missing wheels and a way to connect it to the bike
and lights , well a way to connect to the set that's on there now

a final note

I've received messages from people some time back
one wanting to know what I payed for the Leopf4 battery I bought from a person On E-bay

it was about $750 for the battery not including shipping

the second message no thanks to a computer that died

was about new E-bikes

once of which had the same Designed as a motor cross off road bike

if any one has info please E-mail
Resourceful [at] shaw.ca

with it being winter those kinds of bikes would be more suited to deal with winter roads
maybe not so much with the cold until a tiny heater could be built to keep the battery and
the motor warm enough so that it would work as good in winter as it dose in summer
