my first cooter died twice
running my electric bike in winter and having it die
I also made the mistake of pluging in the changer for the 12 volt 20 am hour
lifepo4 battery it kinda arked at the plug in I got it out but not
before yanking the pin out of the changer but the chager for the
lifepo4 chager seems to be ok I got anthr cord I plan to replace
the danged once
it was more expensive to buy the parts than buy a sort of new one
I payed $549 for a older model from some one in my city
I expect a yearly expense of buying a motor each year if I keep
running it in winter
I've got plans for improvements to the bike so other will have less problem's
given time and money
I know people will buy the parts I create
if they five more driveling distance to the bike
it not worth having them ?
I've got a bit more work so I can start to use and find out
fore shear how much more distance I can rile travel
I had calculated with the 48 volt 12 amp hour lead-acid batteries
and the new lifepo4 48 volt 30 amp hour
at quick speed 63 km and at slow speed 106 km
but what I found out I will only get about 60 maybe 65 percent
out of the new battery's
the reason for this you ask ?
the bms (Battery Monitoring system)unit that is attached
to the battery has a cut off at 2.3 volts from 3.7 volts
I could live go with that set up or build in a by pass wire connection
but I take a chance of damaging the battery's
and I spent $780 for the battery
I also bought 12 volt - 20 amp hour version of the lifepo4 battery
which I can use to charge up either battery
more than likly when I am stopped some ware since i take a
chance a damaging the fan in the charger
that I have to say for now
I just know not having my bike for nearly 2 weeks drove me up the wall
and having to use the peddle mountan bike even for two days
rely wore me out
take care all have a good one ;o)
