Cyboard

A new electric skateboard has
been born. The definition of
powered street boarding is now
altered.

The future of now is here.

Open your wallet, for future
is not for the faint hearted...

Cyboards are here.

450 watt motor with 24 volts, 40" board with normal skateboard wheels. Wireless hand-held throttle.

500 Watt TNC motor. Pneumatic tires for a smoother ride on a large homemade skateboard. Has snowboard foot straps.

Both are fast, and easy to carry on a bus.

Re: Cyboard

I meant links for this "Cyboard". All I can find is info about the casterboard, nothing about an electric skateboard.

15mph for $500? Weak. I do 25mph for $150. Not exactly smooth, though. Crappy wheels.

Re: Cyboard

There is no link at this time.

But, as I hear it, it has 4WD, traction control and ABS
with throttle-by-wireless and regen.
It is baselined with NimH as they are more rugged
in the regen mode verses liOn. The controller is
not confirmed at this time. A variety of trucks are offered.

PS. E-glide has nice Goodyear wheels for sale.
Kinda expensive, but, high quality. They are
about the same as the chinese wheels I run.
I can recommend them for coarse asphalt.

Re: Cyboard

Four wheel drive? NiMH batteries standard? Twenty bucks says this thing costs over a grand.

I think I've seen those wheels. Aren't they like $125 a set? Yeesh. My whole board barely cost that. An I only need two. Gotta scrounge around the thrift store for some semi-pneumatic casters or something that I can fit with new bearings.
