I am a newbie here so I will start my tread posting career with a "possible" dumb question. I just bought a used EVT 4000e. My daily commute is about 8 miles each way... and I can plug in at work. No problems.
The problem is... my house is at the top of a big hill. It is all my scooter can do to climb it. Normally... I slow to a craw at the top and have to zig/zag to regain speed. Not fun.
So... my first though was to upgrade my bike to 60 volts... which I may do. However, while looking at the bike tonight, I had another idea. If I just had a rear tire that a slightly smaller diameter... that would give me just the torque increase I need. Any idea how to get a smaller "low profile" tire?

Is the current tire a size 3.00x10? I think they make a 2.75x10 and a 2.50x10. Check an internet scooter tire dealer. If it is a 3.50x10, you can go to a 90/90x10, then a 3.00x10, in order of decreasing size. Top speed on the flat will suffer.
If you need more hill climbing torque, and not more flat-ground speed, raising the controllers current limit is more effective than higher voltage. A 20% increase can make a big difference. I don't know if anyone has figured out how to raise the current limit on an EVT controller - I understand that it is a peculiar design.
