Problem in lifebatt-land?

Saw this on power-assist:-

http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-assist/message/71492

as of today i am no longer the LifeBatt distributor. Gary and i will
continue to work together, but i cannot work with don.

Bob McRee & Gary had been working to package lifebatt packs for bicycle and lower power uses.

Don Harmon replied (on e-motor-assist) http://groups.yahoo.com/group/e-motor-assist/message/16554 implying that Bob had created the problem.

Bob McRee replied http://groups.yahoo.com/group/e-motor-assist/message/16555 with a rebuttal

Bob McRee made a different posting giving more details http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/power-assist/message/71517

It appears to be the result of a long(??)-running argument between several people ...

Man !!!

I was hoping to get one of those bike packs from Bob & Gary.

Dose this mean that they will not be doing these packs?

Re: Problem in lifebatt-land?

IbeRKT,
I wouldn't worry too much. My bet is that Bob & Gary still have the rights to their BMS / CMS and that system will work well with lots of different lithium cell options. If I were you I'd follow up with them and start looking for alternative loose cells. There are a fair number of opportunities for buying loose cells at far lower cost than LiFe-Batt cells.

When I do my own Lithium based solution I was hoping to be able to use the Bob & Gary CMS and shop for the best deal on loose cells whenever I actually get that far (don't anyone hold their breath!)

To proton: we all know and anyone who bothers to read the forum will know that (a) we've debated a lot of them & (b) you sell some competing cells yourself.
