I had an opportunity to try to assist a fellow EV owner the other day.
When we tried to put his Z20A on the Center Stand, it went past the stops.
You should inspect the stand and the stops and ensure everything is correct.
On his Scooter, the stops were square blocks welded to the frame. On one side,
the weld beads actually made a ramp for the stand bracket. There was evidence on both sides of the brackets being forced out a little further every time the scooter was put up on the stand. On this scooter, when the brackets went past the stops, they were actually deformed. I pulled the stand and was able to straighten the brackets a little but they are not thick enough or strong enough metal. Also, the bushing that goes thru the bracket that allows it to rotate is actually longer the the metal is thick. The bracket have at least 1/16" of play. This also contributed to the brackets riding over the stops. I advised the owner to try to find some washers or spacers that would take up some of this play to help keep the brackets from riding over the stops.
Robert, thanks for the heads up. I just checked and I don't have that issue on mine. My bolts were a little too loose however, so I'm glad I checked. Probably some variation in welding. I could see how there would be a problem if the center stand's bracket were welded a little too wide. The solution would seem to me to bend the bracket on the center stand a little closer together so they fit better with less play - probably have to remove the center stand completly and put it in a vise or something.

When the bike is on the center stand, which wheel should be raised off the ground?
On my Z20A, the front wheel is raised off the ground when on the center stand.
I would think it would be safer to have the rear wheel elevated in case of accidential throttle when parked.
You are right as far as I am concerned. The rear wheel should be lifted with the center stand to prevent accidental rideoff. My 1st generation Zapino was this way. My 2nd generation Zapino lifts the front wheel, which I don't like.

The rear wheel is in the air on my Z-20b, but I have not installed the windshield or the trunk. I tried adding some weights to the rear part of the luggage rack, and adding only 5 lbs allowed for it to balance with either wheel down. Adding 20 lbs made it only balance with the rear wheel down. So maybe the weight of the trunk, even if empty, is enough to shift the balance to the back wheel. I agree that rear wheel up is better.
