Battery Chargers

Hi, I am a newbie, with a question?

Can anybody tell me when a LiFePo4 battery charger states INPUT: AC 110V-240V 1.8amp that it can be plugged into either of these voltages and will automatically switch over?

There is no physical switchgear on the unit.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Re: Battery Chargers

I would think so. Laptop and cellphone power adapters often are able to adjust within the same voltage range. For the gadgets I own, when traveling outside the U.S., it just takes a simple plug adapter to power the gadgets and does not require a transformer to convert the voltages.

Re: Battery Chargers

Thanks for the reply reikiman but I wanted to avoid using a voltage converter if I could.
I would have thought but need confirmation that I can just plug it in without it burning up?

Re: Battery Chargers

rooster - you can plug it in - it's an auto switching supply.
