LiOn Battery Ah ???

I just bought a Skil Drill,
which has a 10.8 Volt Lithium Ion Battery pack.

It doesnt say how many Ah it has though.

The charger says 15.6 Volts 175 mAmps

Just curious as to how I could find the AmpH rating.

Maybe just by testing out how long it lasts ?

I was thinking that it might be possible to use these packs to
power things similar to Dewalt.

Oh, the drill was very cheap, only $30.00 at Costco.

Here's a pic of what the drill looks like:

I might add, that the battery is not removeable,
so it would involve disassembling the drill to get the battery out.

Re: LiOn Battery Ah ???

I found the answer online:

1 lb, 13 oz. 0-400 rpm. 90 in lb torque. 1.1 AmpHr battery..not serviceable. 10 stage electronic clutch

So it is a 1.1Ah battery.

Does anyone think 10.8volts 1.1AH battery and charger
(not to mention dril and drill bits and screwdriver bits)
for $30.00 is a good deal ?

You'd have to buy 4 of them, and attach in parallel,
and that would give you a 21.6 volt, 2.2 AH battery.

Sizewise the batts appear to be very small,
since the drill itself is very compact.

Building a pack might be a bit of work though,
and figuring out how to charge it.

I guess it's not that great a deal,
other than the fact you get a charger for it to,
as you can get 11.1 volts 1.5Ah batts for $32.95
