Electric "Powerboard"

Has anyone ever seen this:

http://www.ebikes.ca/projects/powerboard_tn.jpg

Does anyone know what hub motor this is, or where it can be found?

Also, what batteries would be used with such a design? they seemed to be mounted under the frame.

Re: Electric "Powerboard"

The picture is awfully small which makes it difficult to tell. Is there any chance you can hunt up one a little larger?

Sorry, this is the biggest that I could find.

Does anyone have a source for a hub motor with an 8" rim? Basically, a hub motor with no spokes, just a rim mounted directly to it.

The folks at ebikes.ca are a helpful bunch. Why don't you ask them about that board?

Re: Electric "Powerboard"

I emailed ebikes.ca
and they told me the motor was from:

http://www.elebike.com.tw/index.htm

They have 5" and 6" hub motor pics on their website without spokes.
I think a 5" hub would be perfect for a skateboard.

However, email to elebike [at] ms18.hinet.net bounces, as it seems their disk is full.
