Hello dear people
Last month the new accu's where delivered here and I've some questions, very difficult questions. I'm Dutch, so I try to spell it as correct as possible :)
*Not all Dutchman looks soccer and drinks beer ;)
1.Given: Acidresistence. The further you discharge a SLA/AGM accu the more acid the envoirement becomes. For the one it's resistency is 60% and for the better ones 80%. 90% or higher never seen.
2.Given: Cyclic use when discharge for 35% or for 70% and even for the lethal 100%
I went today at downtown and that distance is 2 x 20.4km. To the city Nymegen the wind is in my back and at the returntrip it blows full against me. Normally the charger needs exact 6 hours to fill the accus from zero to 100%. Just looking and it is loading for 5:55 hours. This means the accus where completely drained to 0%, but why the scooter whas not empty at home. The indicater wasn't most down to the clipping zone, but the charging indicates that these SLA's where drained 100%
But this is still impossible? At home to ride at the alley to my door the scooter has enough power to ride normally. This means:
1. The accu have a Higher Amperage than printed on the container (is this possible?)
2. I sat at the bottom of the load and this really hurts the battery, but for this time to start them up or is this a fairytale?? Why the power indicater won't reach the bottom by full acceleration??
This is strange and sorry if my English is not that perfect.
5 accus in serial 12 volt 18 Ah from LandPark, just new so I don't hurt them anymore. To downtown the bus is exacly even as fast as with the scooter, but busses are expensive here and it cost me €4.00 or $6.00 for this trip of 2 x 19,2 km (measured by Google Earth, love it)
