Heinzman Hub Motors

I have an old EV Global ebike that I use for parts. I am thinking of building a bike with another frame and parts from this bike. I think a Heinzman 36 volt motor will fit in this 24 volt hub. Anyone know? Is the gearing the same? Finally is there somewhere I can get new or used Heinzmann parts in the US? I'm thinking I can save a little just getting the motor, not the whole hubmotor assembly. I'm also interested in other parts like gears (especially the nylon gear) and screws.

Thanks

Any luck with Heinzmann motor.
I now have a bad hub.
Anyone know a source for these one way bearings?
If I can't find a place to get the one way bearing the motor will be for sale.

Re: Heinzman Hub Motors

BTW the 36V motor and one of my 24V motors has metal gears. They will outlast anything else on the bike.
The trade off is noise from the hub when it is working. I hear a growling noise from mine when power is applied
to the motor. It sort of incourages pedaling which is fine for me.
Good luck

Re: Heinzman Hub Motors

Did anyone ever find a source for the hub/bearing on the motor drive on the E-Bike ? We've got one that run's fine but it gear on the hub just spins. Motor and battery seem fine. I pulled the freewheel cassette, but haven't figured out how to disassemble the rest of the hub yet. Any suggestions? John Rimel jrimel [at] me.com
