Oxygen Lepton scooter listed on E-Bay

Somewhat surprised at the amount of interest (last glance had over 220 hits) regarding the lepton scooter for sale on e-bay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=1504&item=270256743939

particularly since it is a older model.

There are no bid , suspect that there is a waiting game for the last few minutes to bid , or it is priced wrong .
How difficult and costly would it be to upgrade to a LifePo4 packs ?.

Has anyone find other Oxygen scooter specifically the Cargo model listed anywhere for sale ?

I am planning to exchange my SLA batteries for LiFePO4. According to the dealer and the battery tech shouldn't be a problem. The pack will fit the battery tray and we'll just bypass the onboard charger. I'll report when the change is complete. In the USA there aren't many models of the Lepton available so the ebay bike is typical as far as I can tell from my search. I suspect the bids will all hit right at the end.

Re: Oxygen Lepton scooter listed on E-Bay

My Lepton has new Interstate SLA batteries installed by Thunderstruck Motors. They deep cycled them several times before shipping it so wasn't expecting to see a lot of change in range. I'm a heavy rider at 200 lbs. I have not run them down completely so I don't know the true range yet, but they have behaved perfectly on my 9 mile commutes with one 1/2 mile hill of at least 8% grade. After that trip the batteries are fully charged again after about 1 3/4 hour. I have been using sprint mode to climb the hill, then switching back to normal mode for the majority of the trip. Some of my trip is on dirt so I am not running at top speed. So far not a single complaint about the Lepton except the side mirrors...can't see around my coat sleeves! I've talked to Israel Brown about some mirror extensions to solve that problem.

It's not a cargo, but mine is still collecting dust in St. Louis.
