Electronic Parts Catalogues?

Uh... evparts .. cloud electric .. west marine .. Kragen ?? Those are the places I order or buy electric parts.

Sometimes I get this thought of "isn't it odd to be buying parts for an EV at an autoparts store" .. but over the weekend when bought a couple things at Kragens, and they turned out to no longer carry this one part I wanted to get, I explained to the counter guy this is for an electric motorcycle and .. this woman in line behind me got all interested and impressed that I'm building an electric motorcycle. Anyway...

Another place I go for electric parts is the local surplus electronics store. In my case it's Halted Specialties who happen to be across the street from GreenEMotors' office in Sunnyvale. Another surplus electronics is: Surplus Center (surpluscenter.com)

I just went to Pep Boys this afternoon looking for 8 gauge wire and terminal connectors to replace one of the battery connections on my E-Max. The smallest gauge they had was 10. I looked on Amazon.com and the wire they offered was panned by the one person who reviewed it, so I decided not to risk it. Is there a consensus about the best places online to buy simple supplies? (The very impressive resource lists I've come across so far on the forum are for electronics components. Wire either came in big quantities or was often not available at the surplus sites.) I'll probably end up going to an electrical supply store in the area, but it would be handy to know where to look online as well. Thanks.

Powerwerx sells 8 AWG in rolls of 25, 50, 100, 250, or 500 feet.

I've ordered from them twice (mostly Anderson PowerPole items) and was very satisfied both times. 25 feet is still probably a lot more than you need for your current repair.

Anyone looking for short lengths of larger gauge wire should probably visit their local car audio shop. They'll sell you high quality wire in any length. The last time I bought wire from my local shop, I paid $.50/foot for name brand 8-gauge, and $1.25/foot for 4-gauge of the same brand.
