I have a Crystalyte CT4840 Controller with 4 12V 12Ah BB BP12-12T2 batteries. Voltage sag cuts out the controller after about 7.5Ah are consumed (at 40V pack voltage). I can monitor the voltage manually and would be interested in either resetting to, say 38 volts, or defeating the cutoff entirely. Has anybody found any technical literature on these controllers or have any knowledge on how to go about doing it?

i was wondering the same thing however you are just going to shorten the life of the batteries.
from what i have heard from my local battery shop lead acid batteries if drained below 10.5 volts per 12 volt battery in your case a total of 42 volts you run the risk of ruining or shortening the life of the battery.
the only reason i can think of that it would be safe is if you are going to use nimh or nicd batteries since they have to be drained to get rid of memory and nimh you would not hurt.
