Mars Brushless PMAC electric motor: 48 volt max or 72 volt max???

This is a silly question and one that's very possibly been answered several times over (although I did check the back dated forums,) but here goes...
So I've seen the Mars Brushless PMAC electric motor on several different sites recently (anywhere from the Kelly controllers web site to Electric Vehicles USA, Inc. to Electric Motorsports and so on) and I've noticed that the voltage range on this motor differs from site to site. Most sites state the the Mars brushless motor as either being a 48 volt max motor, as having a 24 to 48 volt range, or a 12 to 48 volt range, or something like that. But every now and then, like on the Kelly site, I find a listing that tops it out at 72 volts!! It did call it a "BLDC" motor instead of "PMAC" though which may be the key to the issue. I'd just like some clarification if at all possible. Are there multiple versions of the Mars brushless, is this 72 volt rating a mistake, or can I actually ramp my Mars brushless up to 72 volts!? If anyone knows what the deal is or has some clarification, I'd appreciate it. Thanks:)

Nice of the princess to invite us to a picnic, eh, Luigi?

I dunno. Few had been able to find a suitable 72V brushless controller in a reasonable price range until Kelly showed up. I'd say it'd be fine on 72V. Even 96V would be okay, but that's pushing it's RPM limit, IIRC.

And a PMAC and BLDC are the same thing. BLDC means "brushless DC" and PMAC means "permanent magnet AC". BLDC is something of a misnomer, since the individual phases may be DC at times, but the motor itself might as well be three-phase AC.

As far as I know, there's only one version of the Mars brushless.

Re: Nice of the princess to invite us to a picnic, eh, Luigi?

Thanks for the response. I kinda figured as much (that there was only one brush less Mars motor and that it could be run up to 72 volts I mean,) I just needed another opinion on the matter. I figured if Kelly had a compatible controller then it must be able to be run up that far, unless I was just completely missing something:) That does happen from time to time. Thanks again!
