HELP! Can the Magura 0-5k be wired to 0-5v to work with the Kelly brushless KDS36100?

Can someone please teach me how to wire the Magura from 0-5k to 0-5v to work with the Kelly brushless KDS36100 controller?

This is the controller:
http://www.kellycontroller.com/mot/KellyKDSUserManual.pdf
This is the throttle:
http://www.ekartusa.com/inc/sdetail/575

I believe the magura throttle is a resistive throttle. I called Kelly and spoke to Steve but was unable to understand his English and I did not want to irritate him.
I found this thread here which almost answered the question: http://visforvoltage.org/blog/formicafowl/3949 his is a brushless controller as well but mine, the KDS36100 is non-programmable PLUS I do not know what the '120 Degree Setting' is/does AND what adapter he is referencing when he got it to work. It did mentioned something about 'PIN 7'. Can someone please help me out here? I just have a few strands of hair left! trying to keep em' at least til' thanksgiving! Thanks all! Bless!

Re: HELP! Can the Magura 0-5k be wired to 0-5v

on the junction 2 connector, pins 1 2 and 3. Pin 1 is 5V, pin 2 is the throttle position 0-5V input and 3 is ground.

Looking below it for an explanation (page 8 ), it says "throttle return, throttle input and throttle 5V power source"

So with "5V power source" on one the blue wire (throttle high), and ground on the black wire (throttle low), you're putting 5V across a 5k resistor. The wiper connects to the Throttle Input (TPS) and brushes across the resistor and measures voltages ranging from 5V to 0V, depending on where the wiper is brushing against.

http://www.electricscooterparts.com/magura_5k_throttle_wiring.html

It should definately work. I saw in the other thread, that Reikeman said it won't work, but MOST throttles take a VOLTAGE input from 0-5V or 5-0V. Its an analog value. One side connects to +V, the other to Common(ground) and the wiper connects to the throttle input. The input is measuring what voltage it sees on the wiper. Its not measuring resistance. Its just looking for a voltage.

Wire it how I explained above, and it should work. If it doesn't, consult kelly and ask them why they'd ever release a product that doesn't work with a 0-5k throttle.... which is used in MOST applications in EV's.

Travis, thanks so much! I can't do this yet because I do not have the junction 2 connector to wire the throttle. I just ordered it from TNC. I was also wondering if there's a possibility that the throttle may get damage if not compatible with the motor.
thanks

It won't ruin the throttle.... My throttle runs 5V and common with the wiper on the throttle input. Its a custom controller, but thats how most work. THey're just super vague on the manuals. They NEED to make it more readable.

Volt4me,
Here's a slightly adjusted, zoomed in, and color coded version of the Kelly wiring sheet for your controller. I've made a few minor adjustments to make it easier to tell which Magura wires correspond to each of Kelly's listings; that being "5V"=(blue Magura wire,) "OUT"=(brown Magura wire,) and "GND"=(black Magura wire.) This worked just fine for my Kelly controller and Magura throttle, hopefully it'll work for yours:)

:) Sure, I had problems posting this thing with any clarity anyways (hence the attempt to zoom.) Oh well. I'll send it right out.
