Good news for California buyers!
According to a news item posted on the Vectrix website, California will be offering a $1,500 rebate for purchasers of the electric Vectrix scooter. Early adopters will not be punished either, as the rebate is retroactive to purchases of these $11,000 EVs made as far back as May 2007.
I saw in another place that the Vetcrix price in California dropped to $5000... I don't remember where... Can anyone confirm this?

Just checked the SJ BMW website, they list $8500 price so with the rebate that would be $7000.

Wow, you lucky so and so's - getting hold of a Vectrix for $7000 sounds like a great deal!
I think the manufacturer has to jump through quite a few hoops to get their EV registered for this program - so kudos to Vectrix.

This rebate has been in place for a while. I bought my Vectrix in CA couple of months ago and have applied for (but not yet received) the rebate. At the time I bought my bike, the rebate fund had approximately $400,000.00 left (from a start of $1mil). There should still be money left in the fund, but it was going fairly quickly. The fund is not exclusive to the Vectrix rebate. It's shared among other qualifying electric vehicles.

Checked with SJ BMW today,
their list is $ 8795.- plus tax and title, which, in San Jose is about $ 10,500.- minus the rebate.
After rebate that takes it down to $ 8,500.-, not less than that.
Pls keep us up to date if you find better deals elsewhere!
