Headlight

I rarely ride at night, but when I do the shortcomings of the standard headlight are clear.
Has anyone replaced their headlight with a brighter bulb? If so which one and did you have any problems doing so?
Thanks

Re: Headlight

Can't say it is an issue for me. Indeed the Vectrix light is far better with a better spread than 2 of my other bikes. I can appreciate coming from a car will feel the lighting isn't enough, but the current set up gives a good compromise between light and distance.

Re: Headlight

There was a discussion about using HID lamps. They are far brighter as normal bulbs but require some extra black box.

There are plug and play HID sets on the internet (just google for HID 35 watts) or look somewhere in this forum. The issue with these HID lights seem to be that the head light tale (green telltale indicator)starts flashing. It seems the Vectrix thinks the HID is a defect light bulb.

Check out this post and the others mentioned within it:

For an easy and immediate fix turn on both filaments in the existing headlight simultaneously.
