Darn this snowy weather!
I fully charged the Vectrix on Sunday in preparation for this week
I have read on these forums and others that it is bad to leave the machine is a fully charged statae for a long period of time as this can potentially damage the batteries.
Will the machine be ok for the next week due to the slippery weather just sitting there, or should i make a concerted effort to partially discharge it?
Your battery isn't made of eggshells. It will be just fine. Over a week's time, you may lose a bit of range off that charge, but you can just charge it again the night before you think you'll get to use it and it will be good to go.
If these bikes do a lot of sitting throughout a season, it may take a few cycles of use to condition the battery back to optimum strength again, just as when they are new, but it won't hurt the bike to store it at full charge, because it will lose some of that charge anyway.
Don't worry. Long period is considered over 1 month. You'll be fine :-)
