So I picked up an Exkate electric skateboard off craigslist a while back that was all in parts. Looked it up on line and found all the pars I needed to get it working for Exkate. I rode this thing all over for a little less then a year with no problems. I loved this board. One day I hopped on it and drove down the street and back jumped off ran back into my house to grab something, then hopped back on the board and hit the trigger and nothing but a ringing sound. I called Exkate and they told me it will do that when it gets a fatal error. I felt like someone just killed my dog. They told me that they dont make the brains any more for that board. So I thought I might see if anyone on here can fix or may have one that will work in my board.

Coinicdentally I ordered an electric skateboard off ebay yesterday, theyve got a clearance at £29 each. When it arrives I'll post the spec to see if any bits could be interchanged.
What motor size and battery pack is on ur board?
Mine was a 24V. I dont know the motor size but it did about 20-25. Yeah let me know how you like that board. If I cant fix mine Ill just have to eat cup o noodles for a few months so I can save up for that Exkate M6 rough terrain board.
I wonder how many Amphrs your SLA batts are on that board?
Ive just picked up 2x 14.4v Lipos (29v in series, 4ahr) from ebay for $20
I bet they would make that board fly because theyre light and can deliver big amps!
What you could do is get a normal 24v controller with a throttle (brushed motor controller + thumb throttle around $50). I would do the mod for you but ur in the States and Im in UK! It wouldnt be that difficult.
Does ur current set-up have an infra red trigger throttle? That would be tricky to replace, but its quite easy to pick up a standard 24v controller with a thrumb throttle connection. The batts feed into the controller and the motor out of it, and thats job done!
