Re: the new V format

1) ??huh?? Prior to the upgrade there was a dynamic menu at the top which listed some of the forums, but that menu is not installed now. The equivalent to that menu is in the navigation bar on the side. Do you mean that menu? Please explain.

2) ??huh?? what little windows?? Do you mean the ones on the button marked "share"? Otherwise I don't know what you mean. The "share" button existed before the upgrade and its purpose is to assist with linking content on V into social bookmarking sites like digg or del.icio.us or stumbleupon ..etc.. Please explain.

3) the search window has a pair of radio buttons that control whether the search is just for V or whether it uses the search engine on wwwatts.net/evsearch.net to search EV related sites all over the internet. They both work fine. By default it just searches V.

4) That was never true so far as I know. If you want to enter extra blanks there is a special HTML code   which does that. HTML rendering always erases extra spaces.

5) ??huh?? I don't know what you mean, please explain.

6) Why would you want to sign out? In any case if you do there is a link in the sidebar navigation marked "Log out".

Re: the new V format

1) the dynamic menus -- I tried several various sorts of that kind of menu and all of them had problems. The one we have right now works the best and is pretty decent (methinks).

2) I still don't know what you mean.

3) below the search box it says "VisForVoltage" and "WWWATTS EV Search" and before each one is a little button and you can select one or other. The technical term for that is radio button.

4) okay

5) that was never possible. for the whole history of this site we've had the permissions set to not allow the poster to edit their own posts. There's a metaphysicalness thing to this, like the moving finger having writ moves on never to scratch out his mistakes.

6) nice of you to offer to clean up after yourself, however the "who's online" list only tracks people who've been active in the last 15 minutes and if you stop being active it will eventually decide you've gone away and take you off the list. No need to log out.
