I was going buy some good adjustable shocks for my scooter, which is very similar to the XB-508. However, I now notice that the existing shocks are adjustable.
Has anyone adjusted the shocks on their electric scooter?
I went ahead and adjusted the shocks from an extreme position to the middle. It made an amazing difference. The rear has a greater range of motion and the ride is softer. It now soaks up the little bumps rather than transmitting them to the rider. It worked so well, smoother, fewer bumps with more control, that the bike feels like it is going slower, ever though the speedometer and the bike computer read the same speed as before.
Definitely something worth looking at on every bike.

If you are wondering about this, I am adjusting the preload:
"Too much preload causes the shock to top out over bumps and reduces the working range of the suspension."
You just twist the bottom stepped collar. It looks something like this
or this...get the idea?
