Hello, I was hoping using the kit would get me to work quicker than my normal time. I found that though it was less effort the time was the same. Effort not being the main issue for me, it felt like this kit was overkill.
The Kit is not really a performance kit. If you don't want to be restricted by 32Kph top speed i would advise going for hobbyist kit where you can determine top speed vs battery life.
I have to say even if the top speed of an e-bike is limited to 32Kph by law, shouldn't this be enforced by police and not electronics, otherwise all cars should be limited to 110Kms/hr (in Canada anyways)
I think the BionX kit is amazing If you are happy being sub 32kph. BUT If you like to tinker and play around... go for the hobbyist kit. much more extendable, affordable and adaptable. BionX really is fit and forget.

MiniVan....get yourself an eZee or a BMC, motor and wheel only, get power it with Ping 48 volt battery. You won't be disappointed.
Thanks. I looking at possibly a stokemonkey as i purchased the Xtracyle kit. not sure when i will buy it as i am enjoying cycling under my own power.
I assume you sold the BionX as well. It is good kit, bt more for the "set and forget" type installations with a less specific kind of application in mind.
You should look into the Bionx PL500HS. It doesn't have a speed limit and is designed to go at higher speeds. If you know someone in CA, have them be the middle man.
