hello to all Vectrix friends
to inform you that on 25 July 26 on the lake Orta and Maggiore in Verbania (Italy) will take place the the 2° Green Rally Laghi Maggiore Orta e VCO for the ecological vehicles where will be involved many electric vehicles including Vectrix.
I know that many of you live far away from 'Italy but we are in summer and with a rent van you could make a nice trip to in one of the most beautiful place in Italy and participate in the competition.
The competition is based on 3 sector each sector about 72km.The average speed 36 km/h. There is the possibility of emergency recharging and 4hours of recharging time between the 2nd and the 3rd sector.
Last Sunday me and another Vectrix friend went on site ( we transported our Vectrix form Milano to Omegna with a rent van ) to do a test on the first sector of 72 km (the most difficult) including a 18km climb to the top of Mottarone (from 240 m to 1440 mt of altitude). Everything was ok, we covered 72 km vith Vectrix and 3 bar energy still advancing.

Have you tried ask to the dealer for a temporary substituent vehicle ? you can negotiate with the dealer your participation to the race in exchange for promotion and advertising of him / her company (as sponsor).

I doubt it, since he's even having a hard time getting a new battery for my Vectrix :-(

Do I understand it correctly that you regained 3 bars due to regen braking down the mountain?
That would finally be conclusive proof that the regen braking is useful for something, even if it is just this race, because you probably would not make it to the finish line without those three bars!

@Andy; yes I confirm that after the first Downhill the vectrix have regenerated 3 Bars and one bar after the latest Downhill (Madonna del Sasso)
in the afternoon I'll post the altitude of the second sector of 120km ( the most bautifull, with a intermediate recharging time of 3h and 30 min)
I may come as well, as I got news from my dealer, that a tech from Rome will come to check my bike and if it's going to be fixed until the end of next week, I will extend my trip to the Great Lake to greet you all :-)
I, probably, won't compete (because the battery will still require breaking-in), but I would love to just meet you :D, other Vectrix users. I'm still all alone in my country.
Elektro, if we have to decide by the end of this week, it is not going to be possible, because i still have to contact the other Vectrix owners and ask them and that will be next thursday!!

@Andy...We (Vectrix users) are very happy to meet you during the race. In the evening, after the race it will be very funny celebrate together, on the lake there are a lot of nice pub restaurant.
Here the second sector . The Vectrix charging Bars are theoretical because we didn’t test it, but we think they are quite right based on the experience of the first sector.We planned recharge to 16 bar on Druogno as strategy to win also the energy consuption test... some pics of the two mountain peak... When I went hill climbing with my Vectrix, I made it from 300m to 1200m with 30km traveled with 9/16 bars left. I traveled between 30-40km/h. I think you should make it:

My first post, just as Vectrix appears to be dead...
I have had my "V" for two years now, and would have loved to come to Lake Maggiore for the rally. I regularly visit Ispra and Angera on the east side of the lake - it is truly a beautiful place.
