Hey Poolman,

I got some pictures of my boards saved on my desktop, how do I upload them to this post? I told you I'm not computer literate.

Re: Help with new Board

Just hit "post reply" Type anything. click on picture icon on far left just above text box, it will bring up an insert/edit image box, hit browse, then click upload, then browse again, then look for your desktop, find picture, double click, then upload, it will upload, and be visible, then click send to BUEditor, and it will put picture in text box, you can hit preview to see if it worked, hope this helps, got my 48v, controller in mail, it is bigger than expected, and none of the wires are labeled, so I will take apart and start playing with it, to see if it works..

Re: Help with new Board

Well, your instructions were right, unfortunately the file size was too large. When I took the pictures I made sure that they were the smallest resolution so I wouldn't have this problem. My pictures were 634KB, maximum size is 512KB. Any ideas?

That Razor you're modifing should be pretty scary at 48 volts, what do you think it will way. How many batteries?

Re: Help with new Board

Hey Planner, If you have paint, you can open pics with paint, click on image, click on stretch and skew, then change the 100% on horiz. and vert. to like 50 or 40 that will make you image smaller then hit x to exit paint and it will ask you if you want to save hit yes, that's it, If I am doing the math right, kinda weighted all the parts with 4 12v 9ah SLA's, around 60lbs. crazy heavy, maybe too heavy, thought about an complete aluminum build, but it will only cut weight down by 3 or 4 lbs, So with the cost of welding, not worth it for such little gain, I can weld steel myself, So may have to build a ramp to get it in front door, ha ha, been real busy, so haven't had time to even look up speed controller, by brand, to figure out wiring yet, been doing a little moderating on another site, takes up a lot of time, but the pay is real good, 0 dollars an hour, x-30 hours a week= 0 dollars, ha ha, Anyway will keep everyone informed...

Hey Poolman,

I know what you mean about weight, my Exkate weighs 50lbs. Tough to carry, but really stable when being ridden. Keep me posted on your new build, sounds like it's going to be fun. Well, I'm going to attempt to send a picture of my boards.DSCN1466.jpg

Re: Help with new Board

That sucks that you have no time for your project(s), maybe you should just buy a new board with all the extra money you're making :-). I assume you haven't been out on your other boards either, that sucks even more. I bought a Kodak Zi6 video camera (not sure if anybody on this site has seen them), small, compact. Easy to upload to You Tube. Not sure if I can upload to this site. I'm probably going out on one of the boards this weekend and take some videos of our bike path, some of the local watering holes and of coarse the bikini girl's. If I get some good videos, I'll upload them to You Tube and let you know where to find them.

Re: Help with new Board

Wow - Nice pics of the boards... Long time no posts - My new rotation is eating all of my time. I commute an hour each way - and then pay $200 to work 8 hours. I have a week and a half left of this one, before I move to another site and will hopefully have way more time. As far as my board is concerned, no new work. I would really love a mew Li-P04 battery, but simply cannot justify the 399 to get it. So I am holding down the fort with the setup I have. Take care Gents

Re: Help with new Board

Hey Guys,
Well took G1 out last night to watch fireworks, way cool, stayed out to 11:30pm cruising around, Now the bad news, since I did wheel swap, been making a funny noise, well the noise is, it is eating up the belt, It ate up the belt before, when I had that wheel on, So I guess that the sprocket is messed up, So just ordered 2 new belts and new rear wheel, there went another $50.00, need to get a second job to pay for this hobby, ha ha it's all good will let You know when I get the parts...

Where did you order the G1 wheels and belts ?

Re: Help with new Board

Just thinking about my under-powered motor... How hard would it be to make a mount for something like this: http://nycewheels.com/currie-scooter-motor-600.html

Doesn't look like getting a new motor costs too much - Having only 24 volts may be a limiting factor though. What do you guys think?

I've overvolted my G1 stock motor from 24 volts to 36 volts with a new controller, and Lithium batteries.

I plan to do the same thing with the UM70.
Find a 600W motor, and 36volt controller.
Put in Lithium DeWalt batteries, which I already have, and probably overvolt too to about 48 volts, if the controller will handle it.

12mph doesnt seem enough. I want about 20mph, which is what I get on my G1.

Re: Help with new Board

I need a little help. Just bought a G1 off of ebay and it doesn't work. Batteries are charged, and it has power. I took the deck off and used a volt meter to check things. I unhooked the motor, hooked up a volt meter to the controller side, applied power, but there is no movement from volt meter. Do you think it is a bad controller? If so, where do I get a new controller?
Thanks for the help.

Re: Help with new Board

Hi Everybody,

For having the same boards... and more ;-), I agree that the Electroskate ES AIR 600 is the best performance and design board at the moment.
After a few changes (V3) for the controller, who was recently emergency braking in case of low current or interferences with 2,4ghz equipments. Now with the new PCB, everything is OK, the braking system is very smooth (a little bit too smooth).

There is no comparaison between this brushless technology and the old brushed one. Sorry but Altered / exkate, didn't take the brushless train... and they will follow... The first european competition is coming in Germany the 10th April 2010 in Dortmund (Electric day).
We will see who are the best... More infos on electric skateboards on my website : www.ekoforce.com

Re: Help with new Board

Hey Loran,

Is the controller the new "C" box? I had major problems with my ES-600 when I switched over to the controller with the pistol grip remote. Andrew from Elektro-skate is sending me the new "C" box which is suppose to have "soft braking". I also ordered the new Abec 11 gumball wheels from Andrew and also ordered a set of ceramic bearings from a local company in California. Hopefully, I will have everything by the end of next week and have my board back on the road.
