Vendors to avoid

I placed an order from http://www.batterymart.com/ for 2 optimizer odyssey battery chargers 48 hours ago.

I kept checking their website to find out the status of my order, which said it had not shipped.

So I called and spoke to Anthony. He immediately started asking questions about how I was using these chargers, said I was using the wrong batteries, He kept going on and on, was actually argumentative. I kept trying to keep Anthony on track, I just wanted my chargers. Finally he called back and told me that they had emailed me on the 9th, and said He only had one and would ship it. I told him I needed 2, not 1 and to cancel my order. And I told Anthony that they had not emailed me, again, from Anthony, more argument.

I will check with my bank tomorrow to make sure that they have refunded my account and update this forum as to any other problems with this vendor.

I will email them and explain what Anthony said to me, that I was not emailed as to the status of my order, that it took me to contact them to find out they were out of stock and that I was very disapointed in their customer service, and especially in the rude behavior of Anthony.

Re: Vendors to avoid

I agree,

I just sent an email to all of their email addresses with a forward to Corporate Headquarters and told them that the Electric Vehicle Community and battery buying public will not tolerate this type of behavior when a simple inquiry has been made per the status of an order. I assured them that we would be following up on this incident as should they.
I made sure Anthony's name was mentioned.

Re: Vendors to avoid

Wow!!!

What a response, I am at a loss for words, Thanks everyone!

I am working over 60 hours a week right now and for the next few months, this is always a busy time of year for me. I would never have had the time to do the research as to who to contact.

I will check with my bank tomorrow and let everyone here know the status of my payment with Battery Mart. I will also email them with my experience with their company and with Anthony. I placed the order with them because I thought I would have my chargers by Friday.

Well my ride is still sitting, bought a little tiny werker 12 volt battery charger. That 1 amp of current it puts out charged all of my batteries in about 2 days so I am alright there.

This seems to be one of those hurry up and wait situations, just don't have the time to call vendors during the day to locate the chargers I need.

Again Thanks,

chuck
