After seeing the blogs about longest distance on one charge... and highest total KM/Miles driven, I'm wondering if I might hold the current highest temperature ride... with NO troubles by the way.
Rode to work last Wednesday in 47˚C (117˚F) for about 7.5 miles (12KM) - no trouble; got home safely around sunset when Arizona cooled off to 41˚C. Rode both directions cruising about 50MPH (80KMH) with a few stoplights.
Thanks to MIK and other Vectrix owners! I've been pulling into the house overnight and over weekends; only charging when batteries below 30˚C. Getting much better distance per charge. I'm also avoiding regen. braking while our Summer temps are so high.

I know I'll never break that record where I live here in NJ. If I do, it will be the end of the world as I know it.
Vectrix support said that normal NiMH batteries should not work with temperatures above 40ºC. Damage can happen in these cases. But, the NiMH batteries used on Vectrix can work with temperatures above 50ºC, and damage can only happen above 60ºC. Above 80ºC, the damage will be permanent.
I have published this some while ago but no one talked about it. This info is official but somehow strange. I would like to know your opinion...

37c after riding two up, in 27c weather for half an hour.
Only time I have ever heard the fans stay on after the keyswitch has been turned off.
