Need help.. XB-600 Tubes and tires!!!!!

I need to know exactly what to order for replacement tires and tubes for the xb-600. Is the 90 degree valve stem a MUST? Or does it just make things easier? Also, do I order 12" tubes? I am pretty sure I am going to order the Cheng Shin tires. Are these tubes OK? http://www.bikebandit.com/product/11113 ? I guess the 12" 3.00-12 TR-4 tubes are the correct size?

I need to order these ASAP!!!! I got a flat today, had the green slime in the tube but it was a huge roofing nail that I could not leave in. Cant find a good local place to get a new tube. Used a tube repair kit for now, but it still leaks air slowly.

Go here - http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/

Get the heavy duty thorn proof tubes with angled stems. Get a tire while you are at it.

They dont seem to have any compatible tubes of the right size. Not to mention their prices seem to be higher than bikebandit.

I wasted about 10 hours in the local area trying to chase down a source for these unique tubes and finally gave up and ordered them from the company. Ultimately that worked well as the customer service was excellent and I had the tube within a few days. I was told that you had to use the custom tubes rather than some other (cheaper) tube. I'd be interested to hear if anyone was successful using a different tube as I'm sure one of these days it will happen again.

Re: Need help.. XB-600 Tubes and tires!!!!!

Finding the correct tube (16x3.00) for a rear wheel is fun in Australia! I didn't want to wait for one ordered over the net or from eBay.
Tried a bicycle tube (16x1.25-2.00) in the 16 x 3.00 fat scooter tyre but it burst during inflation to 40 psi!
After going from one bicycle shop to the next with my original multi-punctured 16x3.00 tube, I tried a motorcycle tyre shop - I had to tell the guy behind the counter to stop looking at the computer screen and the '16x3.00' stamped on the old tube (who denied the existance of such a tube), and to go out the back to get a 12x3.00 mini trail bike tube so we could compare the size. I ended up buying the 12x3.00 tube, and because they didn't have a tube with an angled valve (and I couldn't be bothered waiting for them to order one in from China) I went to a autoparts store (Supa-Cheap Auto) and got a packet of 4 valve extensions (as used for cars with plastic wheels covers) but a type with threads along its length, and joined two end-to-end. I made the valve hole in the wheel slightly larger and angled to the side, with a round file(the wheel is only aluminium). The 'extended' valve extensions now are about 100mm (4 inches) long, and was able to be angled away to the side of the hub motor for inflation.
The motorbike '12 inch' tube is actually thicker rubber than the original scooter '16 inch' tube.
