I looked into this a while back for my XB-500 and I concluded that changing the front forks was the only feasible solution.
I ended up comparing the forks on the gas powered Xtreme scooters. I talked with their tech support and they assured me that the forks from the gas powered models would not fit.
Of course we are talking about Xtreme Tech Support, not an actual helpful, knowledgeable tech support you might find in a legitimate company.
As far as I can tell if you have an XB-508, the Baja Motorsports BE-500 looks almost identical and does have Hydraulic Front Disc Brakes. Possibility there.
funny you should mention the be-500 cause I saw it for sale at canadian tire... which got me thinking as it looks like a 508.. i've got a daymak austin which is like a xb-600.. i've got front brake envy.
I've ordered a rotor and caliper and will attempt to do this soon. Albeit not with a hydraulic setup because I would prefer to keep using the stock brake lever.
