I ***might*** have found a source for the individual Nimh Cells of the V without having to order 100.000$
I tried to dig up the correct type number on this forum (I know I saw it, but I seem to miss it.)
Does anyone have it memorized?
thx..

10GP30EVH from GP Batteries
a link to the datasheet would be more useful.... thanks.
thx, I'm on it, if good news, I'll let you know..

I've finally been contacted again by the people who claimed they might be able to deliver individual Vectrix cells, but alas...
They can not. (or as I've read several times: only in huge quantities) (I warned them upfront, but yeah..)
But they claim that they could BUILD them, instead.
They could make "any" cell according to given specs & size.
I guess they would combine smaller cells to do that.
But my knowledge of the V is too poor to tell if this could work in any way.
I think the problems could be:
-discharge rates too low for the Vectrix
-different charge and discharge behaviour than the stock cells, eventually unbalancing the pack.
-incompatibility with the "BMS"
Or could it be done?
Mik, didn't you already "bridge" one of your bad cells like that?

I have no doubt that the way to go is cannibalizing the existing, damaged battery packs for good cells.
The sooner someone manages to drop Lithim batteries into a Vectrix, the better. Then there will be sufficient cells available to fix the existing VX-1s for quite a while.
There must also be many leftover batteries in Vectrix stores in several countries.
Once it sinks in with people that there will be no warranty repair work and that their VX-1 is hard to repair, there will be owners willing to sell. At the momemt they are too expensive, still, but I hope prices will come down.
Once I can buy defunct VX-1's cheap, I will be able to recondition battery cells and other parts.
