Let him know that I needed a couple of chargers for an ebike. Hope he responds. Since this business is real near MB-1-E, the employees at this business are probably fed up with ebikers tearing up the neighborhood, jumping chain link fences and such. Let the propieter know that I was in no way associated with the above mentioned ebiker, hope that helps.

It sounds as though I could combine the leads to get 10 Amps charging for my bank of 8ea - 9Ah batteries.
What do you think?
I would like to be able to charge mine as one parallel bank at 12 volts 72Ah as I do currently with my Iota charger.
I want a balanced charge and I think this is the bes method.

Received a prompt reply by email from Steve, then I called and spoke to Jack to verify that the chargers are isolated and that they can be left connected to the batteries when they are in use. Yes to both questions, very nice people at battery stuff.

Before I can use my battery pack, I will have to change its configuration from 2 series 2 paralles, to 2 parallel 2 series. My previous pack had a lot of messy wiring
To rewire I am using a piece of copper tubing flattened with a mallet
Then I slipped some heat shrink on the flattened tubing bent them into shape
Removed the old wiring
And put my flattened tubing on the batteries after re-arranging the placement of my batteries
Nice and neat, now, where are my chargers?
Hurry up and wait.

Dave, I was seriously thinking about the one you linked, sounds just about perfect, but what held me back was the weight, almost double what the 2 I purchased are. Probably a better charger. 5 amps a bank, would be perfect for your set up, you can get rid of that pesky DPDT switch you just purchased, just permanently mount the seperate leads to each 12 volt bank.
What I mean by better, shock resistance and waterproof. You will be getting only 120 total watts out of that charger, with the 2 I bought I will be getting 288 watts.
The charge time is very important to me because I do use my bike for transportation. Since January 1st of this year, I have used 30 gallons of gas in my personal vehicle. 10 gallons of that has been in the last week since my charger went out.

It's funny, I was just thinking of cleaning up the look of my wiring using a very similar method.
Copper Tubing works nice for this and is easy to work with.
I'm holding off on the charger until I find something lighter that is also waterproof.
Haven't looked very hard yet, so there must be something available that is not too big or too heavy.

It's like this Uncle Chuck, You put that floor in like You told my Mom you would have in last spring, You tune up my bike, clean my room, take me to two movies, take me to the pizza place of my choosing, I'll let you borrow just one of my chargers, let's see here, oh yea, I have this little 2 amp charger, just have it back as soon as your chargers arrive.
