After 3 months of use, front brake started leaking oil. Whenever front brake lever is pulled, oil leakes between two nuts (see picture). Thus, front brake is completely ineffective.
Both nuts are very tight. There is NO other adjustment to fix the leakage.
Can the leakage be fixed? or do I have to replace full front brake assembly? If it is to be replaced, where can I buy the parts from?

Hi -- rumor has it that the cylinder there is the funky ABS and that it might be possible to remove it and directly connect the brake line to where the ABS screwed in hopefully the threads match. what you have now is mismatched or worn threads that are leaking the fluid. Yes you should replace if you do not want to try the above. Get a braided wire hose next time if the above fails. Good Luck and welcome....Mikie
ps I am replacing my whole rear brake assembly not becasue of a leak but because the master cylinder was failing--I am replacing with braided steel. M

After several attempts to repair, ordered whole assembly and replaced whole thing - including fluid container, brake cable, brake pad. Now, brake is working fine.

After working in a brake parts warehouse for many years, I can tell you, you did it the right way. Parts that dont fit and leak dont belong together at all. Sometimes the isolation process can be as expensive as doing exactly what you just did. Ideally if you knew just one part of the fitting was wrong, then you could have replaced just that part, provided the mating with the incorrect/worn part doesnt damage the other parts involved.
