I've seen many references to Elite Power Solutions and their great price of $64 per 40AH cell + up to $10 to $15 shipping per cell.
Well, I searched Google for "TS-LFP-40AH-A" and the first link returned was Evolve Electrics.
Their price is $54 per 40AH cell, shipping supposedly included. I added 4 of them to my cart and proceeded to check out. Fed-ex Ground shipping to Oregon was an extra $9.92, so shipping isn't entirely included, but is practically insignificant.
So, in summary, to ship 4 of the 40AH cells to Oregon is:
$225.92 for Evolve Electrics
$289.94 for Elite Power Solutions
I have not ordered any batteries from them yet, so if you have please post your experiences.
Thanks,
Alan

When looking at price consider warranty coverage. Just another thing to factor in. Good luck wherever you buy from.

For the time being, Evolve Electrics was too good to be true.
Update:
4 of the 40Ah ThunderSky cells from EV Components was going to cost $232.60 with shipping, and it wasn't going to ship until January 30th of 2010 (2 & 1/2 months away)!!! It looks like Elite Power Solutions is the only company that has a stockpile already in the USA.
What is the difference between Thunder Sky and Sky Batteries? Well other than the cost of $46.00 for the Sky cell. EV Components---> http://www.evcomponents.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SE40AHA

they do manufacturer in different sizes though, so from a physical point of view, one manufacturer may be more convenient than the other.

Justin from EVolve Electrics sent me a message and told me that they now have their new supplier back up and they are offering ThunderSky batteries for $1.45, shipping included. This is $58 for a 40AH cell. They also have stock-on-hand in the US of the 40AH model. 60AH and above still need to be shipped from China.

Comparing the Spec sheet between the Thunder Sky and the Sky Energy shows that the Thunder Sky battery would last longer in the amount of re-charge cycles that is possible during the life span.

This is why you see a slightly different price. I'd go with the Thunder Sky.
