Sacramento Vectrix (Roseville) no more...

Roseville Cycle Center was the Vectrix dealership/service for the Sacramento area, but I just called them to see what they knew about the 'New Vectrix' Gold Peak Batteries situation. I talked to 'Derick' in the Service department - he said that they severed all ties with Vectrix when they filed for bankruptcy and they have no plans to renew any agreement with (New) Vectrix.

Too bad... I was hoping I could go there for my Li-ion upgrade!

Some of the motorcycle dealers that were selling them before will continue to sell the 'New Vectrix' - I talked to someone named 'Don' (via emial) at the dealership in S.F. (Scuderia) and he said the he has a meeting with the "new owners" on Monday.
This is a good sign! Brace for more good news :-)

I bought my Vectrix at Roseville Cycle Center and live about 15 miles north from there. They served me well a few times on minor matters, but I didn't know they had 'defected'. Too bad...

BTW, please let me know if you live in the Greater Sacto Area.

Happy Riding to All, Patrix

I live in Stockton - I bought my Vectrix at the BMW dealer in San Rafael (before Roseville Cycle Center were selling the Vectrix). I haven't called them to see what their plans are - I had a terrible experience with them and wouldn't bring them any more business anyway.

How far south have you ridden? I rode to Elk Grove a couple weekends ago, just for the hell of it (topped off the batteries in Galt). There used to be a charging station at the auto mall in Elk Grove, according to http://www.evchargermaps.com/ and another one at Lowes, have you been there?

The San Francisco Vectrix dealer (Suderia) talked with the new owners of Vectrix last Monday, this is the email I received:

Hi David,
The meeting went well but not a lot to share just yet. They should be deciding the U.S. structuring in the next few weeks. More news then.
Don

I will share more info as I receive it :-)
