Re: vectrix charger on ebay.com.au

Just a bit of advice when buying chargers -

  • There will be a letter hand written on the label. This refers to a revision code. Only buy with a 'D' or above code. This one shows 'F'.
  • Due to software upgrades chargers may or may not be compatible with software currently on your bike. There is no way to determine which version is installed until the unit is connected to the bike and can be assessed with the Scooterdiag program.

Good luck!!

Thanks for that advice, that might come in very handy!

Do the hand written letters refer to hardware revisions or can the chargers be "upgraded" by software?

Re: vectrix charger on ebay.com.au

Just a quick question....I've looked but can't find the answer.

I know leaving the bike plugged in draws unnecessary power, but does it keep the battery topped up by trickle charging, or will the battery STILL discharge even when the bike's plugged in?

No, it doesn't keep your battery topped up by trickle charging. Yes, it will still discharge even when the bike's plugged in.

Re: vectrix charger on ebay.com.au

You can solve this, as another user did, with a plug timer. Set it to charge your Vectrix once a week for a period of time and you're set.

The hand written letters refer to hardware changes internally. Hope that helps!

Dear Winged.

When I plug my vectrix in my charging place the "Ground Fault Detector" switchs off the electric power of the garage. If I leave the vectrix disconnected from the ground wire, the vectrix frame gets voltage, probably by capacitors that are connected from the power leads to frame ground (in order to comply with radiated emissions of electromagnetic (radio) waves, thanks bob). How can I prevent the "Ground Fault Detector" from switching off the electric power, and at the same time keep the vectrix safely connected to the ground? maybe there's a charger with better hardware to imprint less voltage to the vectrix's frame?

Please have a look at the full post:

Thanks!!
