2010 RAGBRAI

The route has been announced. July 25-31. Starting in Sioux City and going to Dubuque Iowa. About 450 miles in seven day. I bought a second battery with my 350 wheel kit, so two batteries will probably get me through. Let me know if you are going. There will be about 10000 bikes and one big party. Ik'm getting my Bianchi Volpe ready.

Re: 2010 RAGBRAI

Heya Nelson,
I'd like to do RAGBRAI on an ebike. I figured I'd use craigslist to find overnight sponsors that would let me camp in their yard and use a plug-in. I need the plug-in for my CPAP machine also. I have a 48V 20AH Ping battery and 48V 11Ah of Milwaukee tool Lithium batteries. I think with one opportunity charge along the way, that would be enough for any given day.

Re: 2010 RAGBRAI

As soon as I found out the towns for RAGBRAI I called hotels in those towns and go a hotel in 4 of them. Souix City where it starts on Sat. 24, before it starts and 3 more. I have a friend that lives near Manchester. She said she would arrange homes for me to stay in for the other two nights plus one night at her mom's. The hotels are all booked now. My wife is a reniger and decided not to go and the hotel rooms are expensive so I am interested in finding some one else to share the rooms. However, to the point, any bionx dude who wants me to plug in their battery at night in those hotel rooms, I'll be glad to do it. After all it is only 10 cents with of electricity (with the inefency of the charger it might be a quarters worth) so the hotel should not mind. Since I am staying in hotels (mostly) and have a bionx, I am thinking about carrying a change of cloths and not use the sag wagen and not pay the $140 they charge. But I have plenty of time to work all this out.
