EVT 4000E user manual

Hi

I've tried a few of the links to the user manual on here but non of them appear to be functioning any longer :(

Has anyone got a current link to one as I'm about to take ownership of one of these beasties and would like to read up on it a bit first.

Cheers ChrisB

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

Cheers, although that link seems a little broken as the site only appears to have a couple of the scanned pages that actually work :(

Is there another link anywhere else for downloadable manual.

Also as I now have it, does anyone have any clue where the VIN/Chassis or Frame number is located on it ??

Cheers

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

Sorry the manual I linked to isn't complete anymore. It worked the last time I downloaded it. If you don't find one, I could scan my own manual for you.

The VIN on mine is on a paper label located below the right footrest, on the frame.

In the VIN, position 10 tells you what year it was manufactured. I ordered a 2008, but the VIN says it was manufactured in 2005, so my batteries was probably three years old when they sold it to me.

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

That would be really great if you could, I've searched about for about a week so far and had no real joy, already sourced all the stuff about motor servicing, adding extra batteries and even got a couple brochures, but the actual manual seems very lacking everywhere.

Thanks for the details on the VIN location I'll take a look at that in the morning.

So is yours the newer brushless version or not ?? EDIT : I've just seen in your other post that its brushed.

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

Bravo has the latest 2009-10 non-brushed model manual posted online at: http://www.bravoelectricvehicles.com/Media/Documents/EVT-4000e_March2009.pdf

Bravo also has the 2008 brushed model manual but I do not have an online link for it. They could likely forward it to you if you contact their service department directly. Purchased my EVT-4000e in January from Green Rides in San Jose CA and Bravo has been very helpful. I charge my scooter via solar panels so it really is NoGas4Me!

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

Indeed, Bravo has a decent 'service manual', but no 'user manual'.
I recently bought an 2010 model EVT 168 (that's the brushless one, with front disk brakes). I studied the old and new version of the user manual and found no noticable differences.

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

You are right that is a service manual. But I'm willing to bet Bravo could email you the owner's manual PDF if you contact them with your Vehicle ID number. I'd say that their service manual is better than decent. But I found the basic information offered by the paper user manual that came with the scoot to be of little use.

Re: EVT 4000E user manual

Cheers folks, I've already got the service manual from that link ;) I'll try Bravo and see what they say, totally agree that the service manual is very well done.

I've looked at the VIN plate and I have two sets up numbers and letters and stars , the top one starts EV*92/...... and the bottom one starts *RF8AE......

The top one is 16 characters inc stars and slashes and the bottom one contains 19 characters inc Stars, there are no slashes in the bottom number/letter set, is the bottom one the VIN or is it a combo of the two or is it the top one ??

Cheers

Zunzhine your a star :-) downloaded it and have already started to have a rumage through it ;-)

Just need to sort out which is the VIN number and I can sort the registration out, I've bunged a set of 38Ah Yuasa's into it for now but I'm looking at getting a set of LiFePO4's from Ping Batteries, I've already got a 15ah 24v pack and I'm really pleased with them, I like Pings plug and play set up, as they all come with BMS and charger for the one price.

:) The VIN is the one at the bottom. Its 17 characters between a star at
the beginning and end.

Yes, it starts with RF, means it's manufactured in Taiwan.
