Vectrix external battery pack

I am new to the grid and have been following everyone on all of the vectrix blah blah. I just got my "NEW" 2008, and found that driving this to work, I'm short by "THAT MUCH!"(maxwell smart). What I came up with, is I added a nice hitch design to the back and under the tail for pulling a tiny trailer battery power-pak. WOW! IT'S COOL! I noticed that everywhere, everyone talks about the weight, why not pull it, it's the same as a second rider. So what I need from you all is some help in where to tap/in-line splice, a connection for this prototype trailer pwrpak. I've been an electrician for over 20 years, but do not have the know-how that you all have in this field of power and electronics please help and blog between you all for a suitible idea.

Inside the trailer is a safety cantainer for the batteries, and would have something like a 50amp weatherproof "twist-lok" connector to the bike, just like a large travel trailer has for hooking up to power.

I've read everything over at the blog "vectrix additional 'fuel'", and think the tiny trailer would be fun to pull. (till the new lith. batteries are offered to owners at a slashed price to keep the good name afloat!!

Don't use a twist lock connector for trailer / Bike. Use a Anderson SB-120 or Anderson SB-50 or the power poles. Reason is~ break away. You want to disconnect cleanly and not pull bike down. Now I am going to look for a trailer hitch for my VX-1. That is a nifty idea. There are a lot of trailers here in New Hampshire on Motorcycles. I saw on this site a 60 volt 40 AH pack for $1295.00 times two and that ain't too bad of a price for increased range. So that is 120 volt @ 40 AH total.

Just remember, all the quotes from all the other bloggers that know what is what,...I still need to here from someone, to tell me how to tap in with a small amount of A.H.s, getting it to travel a little bit further. If I could paralell with the top pak, with the same volt config, to add amp-hours, wouldn't that work? This is dangerous not to know, and an expensive try.
