I'm thinking of taking off my 350 unit off a dahon bike and putting it on a bike like this one:

However, unlike the bike that it's on now, this one doesn't have bottle cage screws. Can you drill those screws in? As you know, the battery unit looks kinda like a dolphin fin. Thanks in advance.
NYCEWHEELS sells a metal mounting bracket with "water bottle" holes. You clamp the part to your frame using hose clamps and you now have your water bottle mount. I used it on my Easyracer GRR. I put electrical tape under the clamps to prevent scratching the frame.
Thanks, sushilover.
$70+ shipping. OUch! Any homebrew options?
DIY would be to drill holes (gotta be precise tho) correct/exact drill size and spacing .. use stainless steel brackets , they last long. PC
if it ain't Broke, don't Fix it..
Can you please post a pix of how this has been done? Thanks.
Or, you could screw the mounting track to a piece of hardwood, then clamp it to the frame with hose clamps.
There are bicycle parts places for builders that sell "bottle bosses", that is, the machined part the bolts run into, that can be welded /brazed onto your frame.... of course that would kill the paint where they are installed, and if done wrong could weaken the frame of the bike, but they are available.
Thanks, Robert93. I googled weld on bottle bosses and came up with this product:

I was thinking of buying those bosses then gluing them to the frame with that product. Only drawback would be that the nubs would stick out, i think.
Any thoughts? Looks pretty good.
