It seems that your controller cut-off voltage is too high for a 48 volt battery. 51 volt shut-down is more in line with a 60 volt controller setting! Set your cutoff near 42 volts, and you will get more range, or get a 60 volt battery. (If the controller/motor are designed for that)-Bob

Thanks Bob,I'll look into adjusting my controller or replacing it.I have a 48v 15ah 1000w kit from Golden Motor.ca on its way,I think their controller is programable,I paid $30 for the cord to plug it into my PC.
