My tail light bulb on my XB-500 is a 12v 1157 "positive ground" bulb. Does anybody know where to buy one of these and by any chance does somebody make a LED version of the bulb? Thanks Mike D

How do you have a positive ground 1157? Isn't your DC-DC standard 48 to 60 volt in PLUS with 12.0 volt out PLUS with common negative as GROUND? I gotta check my 1157 and see if it works on positive ground? LOL
I was pleasantly surprised when I got some LED lights for my RV and tried in on AC and positive ground and it worked~ed just fine. I did try and install brake lights on my neighbors Freightliner and kept one brake light to play with. it only worked on negative ground so apparently just basic LEDs vs my RV white LED that can use AC or DC and positive ground too. But a filament bulb using one polarity?
BTW #1157 and #1157A are the worlds most common bulb in Advanced auto part a pack of two is $1.97 And Wally world even cheaper~er.
I think going LEDs in a scooter is not economically good and sound. In 4 years I replaced one bulb in 6 bikes. It won't save you electrons. Range will be exact tilly the same, LED vs filly mint.

I blew it out and my other lights and horn when I did a battery modification. I did the 60v battery modification and when the batteries was charged it was reading 65v's and I guess my little dc-dc converter didn't like the 65v's. I swear one time somebody told me it was a goofy positive ground bulb. I really love my LED bulbs and do think they save power. The original headlight bulbs were 10 watts a piece and you couldn't see with them. So I bought some 3 watts a piece white ones from VLEDS.COM and I could finally see and I saved 14 watts!
