Sanyo Eneloop

I just picked up one of these today at a shop going out of business (sort of) In any event, there was a $500 discount we couldn't pass up. Anyone else have one of these bikes? I've read wonderful things, but it would be nice to know someone with personal knowledge and experience. Whew! It's been a long time since I've visited here. I've been keeping up with Craig "Deafscooter" Uyeda and his numerous projects via Facebook, but that's about it.

Re: Sanyo Eneloop

Thank you for telling me Craig is active on facebook, I just friended him there.

I don't have one of the bikes and haven't ridden one but did get to meet, last week, the guy at Sanyo who's in charge of the bike. He's a great guy and talked with me about the bigger picture around the bike. Such as the solar powered charging station that's meant for the bicycle and/or cars. I need to email him about getting a review bike which will hopefully work out, this time.

I'm curious about the regen on the bike. How does it work?

Re: Sanyo Eneloop

I guess Sanyo has gotten out of the bicycle business and doesn't want to talk about it. I'd like to find a source for their battery pack or at least find a place that could/would rebuild the battery pack whenj needed. Anybody have some advice?
