Thought I'd share this with you,
It's one thing to learn (a LOT:)) by reading on this forum, video's (and pictures) speak more than a thousand words. This will certainly be usefull for beginners (like myself):
access to encoder:

access to planetary gear:

No credits for me, thank the maker/poster of these videos (may be someone on this forum?) and "Vectrixfan" for putting this on Facebook (I think he also was a member here).
I sure hope the poster keeps filming/posting what he does:-)
May also be interesting to add to the collaborative handbook?
anyone who understands Italian? What is the nature/brand of the lubricant that they use? I know this has been discussed here before but I don't remember a clear conclusion as to what should be used.
Maybe it's that Lubriloy stuff talked about on this forum..
"doing nothin = doing nothing wrong" is invalid when the subject is environment

Thanks for the link!
It´s funny they used silikone instead of the black seal causing encoder problems...
Only thing worying for me is to lay the scooter to the side...
Greetings Mike
Yeah, isn't that why Mik lost his warranty??

That is the silly excuse they used to cancel the warranty. The motor controller damage was actually caused by the Vectrix technician. He over-tightened the motor phase connections by not using a torque wrench.
I don't think it does any damage to the scooter to lay it on it's side.

Exactly, I don't believe laying on it's side could do damage.
Btw,I'm happy as a child, because I had the chance to buy a new Torque wrench on sale for €19,95 :-)
All I have to do now is wait for my warranty to end, wich will be in the spring next year.
Then I can finally join all of you guys who can work on their bike without worries (except for the high tension :-))
And I will!!

When I try to view them, the videos show marked as Private, I am unable to see them, is this a change or just my account at YouTube?

I guess they are set as private now. They weren't before :-(
umh
This videos have disappeared like the famous VX-1 lithium announcement, made by the spanish dealer.
If these videos were posted by a local vectrix dealer... Just guess what happened.
Hi,
To prevent this in the future is it possible to save youtube videos?
If so how?
BTW someone might find this one useful:

Yet it is and had I known that they'd remove the video, I'd save it.
Everything you download goes into cache directory. If you find (in my example) Firefox' cache directory and load a Youtube video, sort Firefox' cache directory by date, you can see the last file being created. It's usually way bigger than other flash files. You copy-paste that file to the directory of your choice and rename it with .flv (flash video) at the end. You can play the file in any media player or even mobile phones.
Yes, you can use the firefox and install the complement: "download helper". It saves the video to your hard disc as a FLV file.
That's the right way to do it. Connect ICL --> connect Anderson connector --> disconnect ICL.
I was told that Vectrix UK were using the 40W globe ICL method since years but were not allowed to tell anyone elsewhere in the world about it. That was at a time when repairs to many failed Vectrix fuses internationally were delayed or done poorly due to lack of ICL's.

Hi Roger,
Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for. Works perfectly. I couldn't get the format conversion to work on a Mac but I can play the flv files so that's ok.
Thanks Again!
Best Wishes!
