Hey, does any one have information as to weather this would be a good choice for building a battery pack? As I am new to this have never built one before. It looks to me if my math is correct that 16 batteries would result in 52.8V and 36.8Ah’s. Could use some help on this. It seems too good to be true as they are around $8.00 bucks each and would be a very light and small battery pack. To good to be true??? Or…..
Thanks
I suggest a refresher in battery math: Basic battery pack wiring to achieve specific voltage and amp-hour capacities
Your 16 cells would be either 52.8v 2.3ah or 3.3v 36.8ah.

A123 does a 20 AH battery. They seem to sell for between 40 and 50 dollars each. That would get you close to the pack you're thinking of, but it would be 8kg. You would also need a battery management system (for either size of battery).
