I toasted my old controller in a stupid way. doh!
I recently purchased a new controller for my XB-500 and it has a different case (larger) and the PC board is mounted in such a way that the MOSFETs are secured with screws that are not easily accessible.
When the end cover of the controller is open, there is a large resister where the shunt wire was on the old controller. I do not know if this is a replacement for the shunt wire or if this is a totally new PCB design.
- Any one have any ideas?
- Has anyone shunt modded a replacement controller?
I ordered the controller directly from Xtreme which directed me to Green Max Distributors Inc to complete the purchase.
I am inclined to try to rip the new controller apart but I need the scooter with the better weather ahead.
All I need is a little more power on hills, not any more speed.
Thanks
I think I figured this out.
The controller appears to be the same one the is used in the XB600 and the mod instructions for the xb600 shunt looks like the correct mod.
