eMoto...Kasea and E-Max reincarnated

I mentioned in an earlier post that a dealer, Joslin Corp.,
used to carry the Kasea and now carries three models (although not yet visible on his website) that appear to be three of the four offerings from topmotorx.com:

eMoto_Kasea.jpg
The Volt (aka the Kasea ZE-2000)

eMoto_EMax_Red.jpg
The Metro (aka the E-Max Sport)

Classic1.jpg
The Classic

The dealer gave me specs on these vehicles and they seem to match topmotorx.com EXACTLY.

` :?
Seems they either bought out Kasea or just changed names, they are selling the same petro products Kasea did. They started out as a ATV company and expanded into other things.
FWIW, with there prices for a 2000 Watt of $2,895.00 plus shipping they seem to be sort of out of the loop,
Zapino 3000 Watt for $2,995.00 plus shipping.
They have a 2 year warranty from Keasa, but if Keasa is out of business who will honor the warranty.
Topmotorx was once the China partner with the German E Max, so there quality is probally pretty good, any idea what brand silicone batteries they are using? I don't remember if Jacky ever told me, he's not online right now, I'll ask him latter.
BTW we do have Topmotorx Manuals and Diagrams in our EV DownLoad Library

Yep, two of them are just the old e-max's, - the Sport and the never-delivered classic.

The classic at least has looks that are pretty distinct from the rest of the Chinese scooters. However, they all seem to use the same motor, and same controller amperages, so, I don't see how the classic is not going to suffer in acceleration or hill climbing due to it's bigger diameter wheels.

But, at least these scooters are a "known quantity" despite their probable quality problems - and we know that these scooters can be upgraded to 60 volts and 100 amps for much better performance...

That is the big selling point for me. It's real, I can get it now, and I know how to modify it to achieve the performance I want - thanks to you guys!

I'm still ironing out the details of acquiring the extra batteries I need from the distributor, but I hope to be ordering the Classic sometime in the next day or two.

More details to follow!

` ;)
Well this may answer my question I'm still trying to identify the new E Motorcycle that's suppose to be shipping to New York that I heard about from a friend in China in the business.
Jacky is still looking for USA dealers per our latest conversation, and hearing someone as trust worthy and respected as PJD make a confirmation really means a lot to many of us old timers.
Earlier Jason had his doubts weather they had DOT approval, which upset Jacky and he asked that the statement be removed or corrected.
So it seems Jacky was correct.
Please keep us updated, and I probably should place a link on The E-Max Blog: "The Big Breakup" China v. Germany back to this thread.
I really like the way you did as much research as you did, before placing your order. It took me over a year of doing the same thing before I took the EV plunge. Glad the V is for Voltage Community could help, and you were able to see through all the rhetoric.
Good luck and we hope to see and read much more.

Re: eMoto...Kasea and E-Max reincarnated

I say, "Prove it".

Show me the documentation that provides evidence that these new scooters, and this new company, are US DOT approved and can be registered to ride on US state roads, or street legal.

Show me a customer who actually owns one of these who has registered their scooter with their state's DMV.

Show me the Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO) with the new company listed and the correct VIN, registered to the owner in the US.

I will happily update my blog with the new information if this is the case.

By the way, no offense to Jacky, I am just reporting what I have found and can verify. I get many e-mails from people with bits and pieces of information, but I'm still awaiting verification before I post anything on the e-max blog.

I wish the new company best of luck and applaud any US dealers willing to take a risk on this Chinese company and their soon (?) to be shipped scooters. If they have a verifiable MCO and are of higher quality control than the e-max scooters, then I am willing to say, "give them a try"... otherwise I must reserve my endorsement and remain suspicious about any claims presented. Quietly, I wonder how many dealers in the US went out of business or suffered significantly because of the botched e-max/GGC relationship. I really do hope that those dealers and their families recovered financially and emotionally from the damage caused by the break-up.
