My EV conversion project is on hold until I can find a controller for my ETEL DC 3-phase PM 325V motors. I need DC/DC that will work with lithium ion batteries, 325VDC output, peak 33.3 A ,continuous 3.59 A, 10.8KWmax, 1.17 KW cont, regen and reverse option. I'm using four motors and would like to use one controller, but 4 if needed.
Is there something out there that will work? I saw in one forum that you could hook up DC input into a drive set up for AC input?
yep, any VFD or variable frequency drive should be able to run it.
10kw drives are reasonably cheap.
what does the motor name plate say?
if it just says 325V, that will be 325VAC, meaning your DC bus will have to be 460VDC.
anyway, look for a 380VAC nominal VFD with DC bus terminals, I would go for 8kva or larger so you can make use of the peak output.

It is a DC motor. I can't find a company that produces a controller that is DC input with DC output of 325VDC 3-phase and 10Kw. Do you know any specific companies?

there is no such thing as a DC 3-phase motor, doesn't exist.
3-phase means you have 3 x AC voltage sources, 120 degrees apart:

There is the marketing term BLDC or Brushless DC,
These motors are actually 3-phase AC motors, just square wave switched.
if it does specifify 325VDC, than that would be the DC bus voltage, meaning the motor itself is 230VAC nominal.
in which case look for a 230vac VFD.
higher voltage means more power at higher rpm though (so a 15kva 380vac drive is still better)
as for specific companies, Danfoss is pretty good, the new ones are fully bi-directional, so it can double as a charger.

the drive you do pick *needs* to have vector control.
out of curiosity, where did you find these motors?
Do they have an encoder?

That's a great help. I'm learning as I go on this project. The motors are ETEL TML 210. They do not have encoders. I bought them off ebay for $400 each.
