1973 Honda CB750 electric conversion

Hey Guys,
First off, I'm a new user to the site, and I'm hoping you guys can help me out.
I've found a 1973 honda cb750 without a motor that I'm looking to convert into a complete electric with a top speed of around 40mph and a range of 30-50 miles. I've never done anything like this before and I wanted some advice.

1) is there anyone out there that's done a conversion similar to this? (I saw jdh2550_1 do it with this bike but according to his blog he didn't finished)
2) does anyone know what kind of spending I'm going to be looking at to complete this project?

assuming i get ahold of the bike I'll start posting pictures soon.

thanks for your help,

-Charles
