computerized throttle

I put a related post in the forum for e-cycles...it is not completely redundant, however. I want to enable a computer to be the throttle for an electric motor - to connect the computer to where the throttle connects to the controller. Is there any off the shelf way to do this? maybe a not off the shelf way?

Re: computerized throttle

Arduino! That is what I use for a throttle controller.

Re: computerized throttle

If you use a controller that uses a variable voltage (0-5v) to control the speed then you can use a simple pc program via USB output, or even use a Lego Mindstorms NXT control brick thats quite simple to program
