My knuckle-dragging, Neanderthal side

Hi All,

It is hard to imagine it has been over 4 years since my last post. I let ICE powered hot rods distract me for awhile. Still have and use my China knock off of the Smart EV, the hot rod EV scooter (the one that beats my Corvette to 40 mph if you can stay on), and my Cushman EV 3 wheeler stakebed truck. Recent side tracks have included a 1923 Ford Track-T, powered by ICE 383 stroker sbc built for torque as low in the rpm band that an ICE could do. Trying to get that electric feel, 516 lb/ft @ 2800 rpm. This is an 1856 lb car, and with a 5 speed stick and Jag IRS 3.54, it is a hoot to drive. 10.8 @ 132 mph in the 1/4. No match for a EV that can give max torque at 0 rpm. Another 180* deviation for me was picking up a new 2011 CTS-V, ICE 556 hp superchared/intercooled, 4250 lb Caddy with a 6 speed stick. I bought for investment, because 25 years from now when 30% of all cars are EVs, folks won't even remember that Caddy offered a 556 hp stick shift car. CTS production around 60000 per year, out of which V production numbers at 1800, and V stick shift around 180.

BTW,
I haven't forgotten my green side, and still promote to my fellow gearheads. This is a link to my site, where I'm plugging (no pun intended) EVs to hot rodders.

Still at it for EVs. This time an electric kayak.

These were just test batteries, (2) 15 a/hr AGMs gave 7+ miles of running. I've ordered Winston lithium at 200 a/hr, should be good for about 75 miles range.
